OPEN Source is the interactive communications division of OPEN Health, supporting all its divisions with their digital activities.

We focus on digital strategy before production requirements. For example, a mobile app may meet an immediate need, but a website optimised for all types of mobile devices could reach a wider audience. Augmented reality is a truly exciting technology, but not if our end-users are using a 10-year old web browsers.

By combining years of production experience and expertise, we work with our clients to develop an approach to digital media that is much more rewarding and engaging. More than just a company, OPEN Source is a vision of how amazing the world of digital can be.

Recent Activities include:

• Supporting another Chime group company, we've produced a healthcare professional website and currently developing an iPad eDetail app for a new product launch next year.
• We've run a series of social media workshops, both internally and externally, to increase awareness of the possibilities and pitfalls around the social web.
• We're working with OPEN LEC to fully rebrand a client's website and online eDetail. This includes a QR code and text messaging feature to send links to healthcare professional's mobile devices.
• In September we pitched for a new NHS Institute website (still awaiting a decision!).
• We won a new intranet project for a pan-European client, again supporting a Chime partner, with scope to develop this much further next year.
• Our colleagues in OPEN MINDS are working with us to develop two websites to support their medical education activities.
• A new, highly-creative version of our website is under development and we're working with our production team to prototype it.
