VCCP picks up sixth IAB Creative Showcase Award in 2013

VCCP has collected its sixth IAB Creative Showcase Award this year, out of nine possible Showcase Awards for 2013, for its work for O2’s youth employment initiative GoThinkBig.

O2 wanted to create the world’s first official music video created entirely by interns, offering up to 100 young people the work experience of a lifetime. VCCP’s brief was to make GoThinkBig famous, driving more traffic to their site and increasing applications for the work placements on offer.

VCCP came second place for the work, which saw the GoThinkBig site traffic increase by 33 per cent, the number of GoThinkBig Facebook fans double and GoThinkBig’s Twitter following increase by 30 per cent.

VCCP has been awarded six times out of nine so far this year for the IAB Creative Showcase awards. In addition to being picked for the Go Think Big campaign, VCCP also won first place for its O2 Matchday App for the March Showcase, where VCCP was tasked with building upon O2’s sponsorship of the England Rugby team by offering fans new ways of getting closer to the team.

For the August Showcase VCCP was also awarded third place for O2’s Be more dog campaign. As a result O2 is the most awarded brand for the IAB Creative Showcase this year.

The latest award adds to the comparethemarket.com’s ‘Meerkat Tales – Live Readings’ campaign which won first place for the February IAB Creative Showcase, as well as Gatwick Express ‘Express tracks’ and the Coors Light Ice Cold indicator which were also awarded by the IAB Creative Showcase this year.
